About Evoke Media
How We Work
Last updated: 26 October 2026
Evoke Media gathers stories from many news outlets in one place, and writes its own articles about good news: discoveries, progress and findings that help people. Evoke Media is published by EVOKE Immersive Technologies, which also runs EVOKE's other businesses, including EVOKE Marketplace. This page explains how stories reach the site, how we use AI, and how to tell us when something is wrong.
Stories from other outlets
Most stories on Evoke Media come from the public feeds of other news outlets. For each one we show the headline, a short excerpt, the picture the outlet supplies with it, the date and the outlet’s name. We don’t reproduce the full article.
Every story is credited to the outlet that reported it. Its page on our site has a button, “Read the full story at” followed by the outlet’s address, which takes you straight to the full story on the outlet’s own site. Our page tells search engines that the outlet’s page is the original, and asks them not to list ours.
Stories from a press release wire are labelled “Press release”. They are issued by the organisation named in them, not written or checked by us.
Every outlet we draw on is listed on our Sources page.
Our own articles
Articles by Evoke Media Analysis are our good-news articles. Each one tells a single story from the reports of the outlets named under it.
They are written with AI assistance. A member of our team chooses the story and the reports. AI tools draft the article from those reports alone, following written instructions: use only the facts in the reports, credit each outlet for what it reported, add nothing from elsewhere, and write in their own words.
Our newsroom tool then checks the draft. It flags any number that isn’t in the reports, any outlet that isn’t named, long quotations and very short articles, and it won’t save a draft that talks about the material it was written from. It removes any links the AI tools wrote, and lists the reports under the article itself, from our own records.
An article goes on the site only when one of our editors publishes it or schedules it to go live. Each of these articles says, under its byline, that it was written with AI assistance.
Some of the daily briefings we published in July and August 2026 were also written with AI assistance.
Pictures
The image cards on our good-news articles, and some other illustrations on the site and in Evoke Media Weekly, may be made with the help of AI image tools. They illustrate the story; they are not photographs of it.
Pictures on other outlets’ stories are the outlet’s own, supplied with its feed.
In Evoke Media Weekly, a story from another outlet appears only with a picture we may use: one of our own, one from NASA or in the public domain, one by the outlet’s own staff, or a handout from the people or organisation the story is about. We don’t use pictures from news agencies or stock libraries. If a story has no such picture, we choose another story.
EVOKE News
Pages and articles marked EVOKE News are announcements from the businesses of EVOKE Immersive Technologies, the company that publishes Evoke Media, such as EVOKE Marketplace. The company writes them. They are not news reporting.
Mistakes and corrections
If you find a mistake in one of our articles, write to info@evokemedia.io with a link to the page and what is wrong. We will look into it, and if our article is wrong, we will correct it.
If the mistake is in another outlet’s story, the correction is theirs to make, so please tell them too. If a story shouldn’t be on our site at all, tell us and we can take it down. Publishers can also ask us to remove their feed or change how it is credited, at the same address.
